Patrons age 13-17 must have a parent/guardian with them or have a positive picture ID and verifiable address.
Patrons age 12 and younger must have a parent/guardian signature. A child may have a card at any age if a parent desires, but must be present during the creation of the card.

Library Cards for Out-of-State Residents
Out of state residents may obtain a library card by paying a $30.00 fee every two years, and following the same rules listed for Massachusetts residents. The $30.00 fee is waived for people who own property in Agawam and people employed by a business or agency in the Town of Agawam.
Once a library card is obtained, a patron has a choice of borrowing a wide range of materials from the Agawam Public Library including, but not limited to: books, DVDs, magazines, books on CD, music CDs, downloadable eBooks & eAudiobooks, puppets, juvenile kits, and art prints.
Patrons are required to present their library cards every time they borrow materials, use the library’s computers, or reserve items.
