Oil Paintings by Laurie Tavino

The Agawam Public Library is proud to display an exhibit of Oil Paintings by local artist, Laurie Tavino for the month of August.

Laurie paints local rural landscapes because of their natural beauty but also with the intention of preserving their history. Many of her paintings depict scenes that no longer exist. However, her favorite subject is the figure, drawing her inspiration from artistic anatomy studies and women’s themes.

The exhibit will be on display during the month of August. The Agawam Library welcomes visitors Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please contact Adult Services Librarian, Cher Collins at (413) 789-1550 X8851 or ccollins@agawamlibrary.org if you are interested in displaying artwork at the library.
